So Thorin needs to be on there twice, huh?

 So we're entering the holiday movie season, arguably the other big season for movies after the summer...anybody else feel like news sharing has slowed waaaaaaaaaaay down?

I'm re-reading the Hobbit before the film release (read it a long time ago), but question for those familar: why is Thorin taller than the rest? Is he half human?

 No, not half human, probably just the tallest actor they got for the dwarves...and he is the leader after all.  Guess they figured he needed to stand out a bit from the rest.  Remember, Bullroarer Took was a hobbit, no human blood, but he was tall enough at 5 feet to actually ride a horse.

Thorin is not just any Dwarf, he is a decendant of one of the original Kings.  He is a very mighty warrior.

Oh and he is still plenty short, much shorter than Gandalf.
