 why in the hell do I need to buy my tickets a month before the movie comes out?

Maybe you'd want to do it for a reserved seating theater? But those are few and far between.  There's only one auditorium in one theater where I live (Honolulu), and I haven't encountered one anywhere else I've recently lived, either (Buffalo and Cleveland).

I want to know what one of the characters is in this video.  I am hoping it is Radagast, but I have this horrible feeling its Tom.  Either way the character seems just a tad too silly in some other trailers i've seen, but I guess Radagast was an odd one they say.

 When does Ben Kingsley show up?

 Remember that the Hobbit was supposed to be a more light hearted childs book for Tolkein's puposes.  Having the movie more light hearted feeling would match the books vibe more than making it all super dark and gritty.

 I honestly don't see dark and gritty when I see this trailer, axia...looks pretty fun to me.  Good action and fight scenes aren't exclusive to dark and gritty, just ask Indiana Jones.
