Russell Crowe and Imagine Entertainment are teaming together to develop a big screen version of the 60s TV comedy series. Word has it that the script by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais takes a more dramatic direction than the series ever did.

In other words, the coming film looks to be more like Stalag 17, the 1953 movie that inspired the series, rather than the actual TV program. Given the changes, wonder if it will still be called Hogan's Heroes by the time it reaches fruition... if it does.
