In the world of collectibles, trading cards have always been a staple product from the old baseball cards (with bubblegum!) of yesteryear right down to the latest embossed, variant, hologram-strewn, limited edition X-MEN card of today. That's all about to change, however, if multimedia company Serious USA has anything to say about it.
Serious has gone interactive with their specialized brand of collectible cards, which they've dubbed "CD Cardz." Seeking to combine high-tech interactivity with a classic format, the Cardz are credit card-sized and shaped CD-ROMs capable of holding up to 100MB of content. With full-screen video, music and sound effects, photos, text, games and more, the CD Cardz manage to pack a veritable encyclopedia's worth of information into their wallet-sized shape. And they look awesome too, with cool photographic cover artjust like regular trading cards!
