Huayi Brothers Pictures has joined Sundream Motion Pictures as co-producing partners for the action blockbuster HOWLING ARROW.

"We've collaborated quite smoothly on 'A Battle of Wits' and we had a few meetings before Cannes (about 'Howling Arrow'). We thought it would be quite meaningful to carry on our collaboration to the new film," said Huayi brothers chief operating officer and president Wang Zhonglei.

The budget will approach $16 million for the martial arts drama and the film will be set in North Eastern China (17th Century). No script details are available as of now.

"It is a unique movie with strong characters, the martial arts action design will be realistic. Besides, new (kinds) of arrows will be introduced which has never been seen before," said Sundream president Tsui Siu-ming.

almostunbiased-
Arrows are pointy sticks w/ feathers at the end which are fired from a contraption known as a bow.

From dictionary.com:

"A missile having a straight thin shaft with a pointed head at one end and often flight-stabilizing vanes at the other, meant to be shot from a bow."

hope I cleared that up for you.

SAMMO! Won't be the same without Jackie though.

The new kind of arrow is called boome-arrow. If the arrow doesn't hit its target, it conveneniently flies back to you and sticks itself in your a$$.

$16 million dollar budget + Sammo Hung + the title "Howling Arrow" = Unmitigated disaster.

Thanks to Killerville for clearing that up. I was also confused.

Now, SAMMO is very cool and I wish him well on doing this movie.

$16 mil. budget(because they know how to do it in Hong Kong) + Sammo Hung(still a bada$$) + "Howling Arrow"(funky chinese-english translation) = I'll probably watch it first, then decide if I like it or not. But that's just me.

Don't know what I'd do without you killerville.

Now that we have that cleared up, what the hell is this movie about?
