Hugo names HOMINIDS best novel of the year

This weekend The World Science Fiction Convention (popularly known as WorldCon) awarded the Hugo for best novel to SF luminary Robert J Sawyer for his book
HOMINIDS. The novel, which centers on a the discovery of a living Neanderthal, is Sawyer's 13th novel. Sawyer taking home the Hugo, which is science fiction's most respected prize, was particularly appropriate this year since WorldCon is being held in Sawyer's hometown of Toronto, Ontario.
