Right on Axia!

Apparently Marvel is hoping to make Guardians of the Galaxy look appealing by demonstarting that it is no where near rock bottom.  Well played...I guess.

SarcasticCaveman 5/18/2013 1:03:11 AM

Really not enough for me to base an opinion on...methinks some of you might be jumping the gun on poo-pooing it so early.  With all the Hulks (green, red and simply green-haird - not to menton Skarr) floating around the Marvel universe these days, I'd be down for a Team Hulk approach...not saying it will be successful or good, just saying that the few brief animations in between the dude talking about the show are not enough to say it will suck beyond reason.  I'll wait for the first episode and decide for myself.

SarcasticCaveman 5/18/2013 1:04:17 AM

And I'm amused that you are using this to try to strengthen your opinon that GotG will suck.

Public Poll here...when did everybody lose their childish appreciation for cartoons?  Seriously, just because a show is based (however loosely) on a comic book, does not mean that you, the comic aficianado, are the target audience.  Say what you will, I will still be able to understand the appeal of this show a hell of a lot more than the appeal of Digimon.

Oh geez... Marvel and their animation.  *facepalm*

I believe it's safe to say that Marvel Animation is just as weak as DC live-action.

I still dont know why they canceled avengers eom, that show was getting good when they canceled it, this does not look like a good replacement.

Wiseguy 5/18/2013 4:58:54 AM

SarcasticCaveman put it perfectly and I agree a million percent.

The way the comments were leaning so anti-this I thought the clip was going to be awful but they didn't show anything. You guys better go eat a fucking Snickers, bunch of grouchy whiners here I swear.

It sounds like it'll be done ala The Office, with a camera team following the actuall heroes around.

I actually think this could be a cool approach because like the guy said now it becomes like a confessional, where you get those solo moments and hear what the character thinks.

It may be garbage but nothing here suggests that

Wiseguy 5/18/2013 5:04:25 AM

Caveman is also right about the GOTG statement. You guys with no imagination should just wait, lean back and enjoy it. You'd all be thrashing Star Wars if it was coming out this era because a giant slug mafioso would be too much for your brains.

GOTG is something new and different....oh yeah isn't that what all the cry babies here are always calling for but stay at home when the studios deliver time after time after time. But will go see Taken 2 opening weekend, pfft

SarcasticCaveman 5/18/2013 11:34:06 AM

Right on, Wiseguy!  I think the GotG is going to be more than a little campy, but come on - we've got Joss Whedon overseeing the director of "Slither"...they're GOOD at campy! :)
