I've become used to the Hulk on the big screen with a big budget.  Not a fan of the TV idea at all.

I think that an Agents of Atlas animated series would work better than a live action show. Hell it could work as an animated feature. Either as a theatrical release or direct to DVD. You got a talking wiseass gorilla, an exiled space alien, a kick ass superstrong sea queen, a killer robot, a godess, and an immortal secret agent. Hire the guys that do Ben 10, and Generator Rex and it would rock.

An Incredible Hulk tv show simply cannot spend huge amounts of money on visual FX and remain profitable in the short term. It may be that Disney is looking long term, though.

A big budget Incredible Hulk show on ABC would have a wide public exposure. It would be a great way to bring the Marvel Universe back into peoples homes, and the combination of a big budget and quality storytelling would go far towards establishing Marvel as a brand to be trusted. A successful program would naturally lead to a release on DVD/Bluray, selling the show to the foreign television market and then selling the reruns in syndication once the show has been around for a few seasons. If anyone has the kind of bankroll necessary to play the long game, it's Disney. After all, how much money has CBS made over the past thirty years on the classic Bixby/Ferrigno version of The Incredible Hulk? Far more than they could have ever reasonably expected, that's for sure.
