Marvel Studios has unveiled their latest release slate for 2008-2009 movies, DVDs, and TV. Before putting up the list though, Superhero Hype is reporting that the first trailer for The Incredible Hulk will hit theaters sometime in March. They can't say which movie it is or if it's exclusive but we'll dig around for more information on it. I'd say it's likely to premiere when Universal's Doomsday hits theaters because Hulk is united production between Universal & Marvel. Still, that doesn't say it's going to be exclusive to just that film in much the same way that Indy IV isn't exclusive to Spiderwick showings. When we get a confirmation, we'll pass it.

Time for the latest release schedule & information for Marvel Studios.

I hope those stems and caps I just ate are kicking in, because I think I just read there is going to be Spiderman: The Musical directed by Julie Taymor (Across The Universe) and music & lyrics by Bono and The Edge. I am not really sure how to digest this information. Maybe like the shrooms, which will make me vomit in about 20 minutes. I really can't imagine this is a good idea, but hey, I could be wrong.

So that means in 09 we'll have two Marvel films including Wolverine. I just don't see how they get any one of them done by late 09 if pre-production hasn't started yet. I would guess Ant-man has the best chance since a director has been engaged. Either way I'm looking forward to all these projects.
Glad to see Marvel is keeping the direct to dvd series going as I have enjoyed all the ones they have put out. And is probably the best medium to tell some of their adventures outside of comics.

Hmm...and just earlier today I mentioned on the Mummy thread about why it makes no sense that Universal hasn't released any official Hulk trailer yet. Ask and ye shall receive I suppose.

Sam Jackson as Nick Fury in this and Iron Man is cool but I still want a Nick Fury film with Cracker and non Cracker Fury. Same story but mix it up.

totally experimental that's the genre he belongs in, at least when it comes to writing a story!

Wondercon (little sister to ComicCon) is this weekend in San Francisco. There is a Marvel panel on Saturday. Since everything has been been pretty hush-hush as of late, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a 'surprise' showing of the Hulk trailer on sat.

I'll let youse guys know if I see it. :D
