Hurd intent on making EVENTS happen

HULK and PUNISHER producer Gale Anne Hurd has seized the film rights for an upcoming science fiction novel called EVENTS, the first novel by writer David Goleman. Variety describes Goleman's story as a mixture of ALIENS and THE TERMINATOR (which are, coincidentally, both films that Hurd produced) and is centered on a strange being that threatens the existence of Earth.

Hurd's production company, Valhalla Motion Pictures, will develop the nascent project. A screenwriter is being sought.
