Variety reports that Ice Cube's production company is looking to produce a film version from the Boom! Studios graphic novel '10':
Gustin Nash and Jesse Cale adapted the graphic novel by Shannon Eric Denton and Keith Giffen. Story revolves around a guy who gets what appears to be junk mail informing him he's in a competition with nine others and that whoever gets out alive wins. He throws away the letter, but then a man toting an ax shows up at the door.
Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez of CubeVision are negotiating to produce along with David Alpert and Rick Jacobs of Circle of Confusion. The Weinstein Co. declined comment.
Deal marks the third leg in a run of Hollywood success for Denton, who, under his Komikwerks banner, set up the 'World of Quest' as an animated show, and 'Wyoming' as a live-action pilot.
