Mania Box Office Report: Spidey Falls (Article) - 7/16/2012 6:47:35 AM

Spiderman is still a very pleasant surprise for me and I look forward to owning it on Blu-Ray and can't wait for the sequel. With that said, I'm excited for the Dark Knight Rises but am going in with just middle of the road expectations. As long as I'm entertained and don't feel the three hours in length it will be a success in my books. Even the first half of Avengers caught me glancing at my watch, they made up for it on the back half of the movie so I'm hoping Batman will keep this summer rolling toward one of the best movie summers in a long time.

Comic Con 2012: Cosplayers Day 1 (Article) - 7/13/2012 5:56:58 AM

Did we really have to end with that last shot?! Who the hell even stopped that guy to take his picture? Must get image out of my head, moving back up to lady Waldo and booth babes!

Comic Con 2012 Preview Night (Article) - 7/12/2012 9:56:59 AM

@TheStormrider - Small world man, I worked on the armor too. I'll put it this way, I was hanging out at the Wookie Workshop a lot these last few months. ;)

Mania Box Office Report: Spidey Swings only so High (Article) - 7/9/2012 6:10:28 AM

I meant to say, "as Gwen Stacy." But she plays a great Emma Stone too. Can't think of anyone better for the part. ;)

Mania Box Office Report: Spidey Swings only so High (Article) - 7/9/2012 6:08:48 AM

Hands down Spider-Man was one of the best movies I've seen this year. Besides Avengers, it was that movie that I truly did not want to end. I thought Garfield was a great Peter Parker and Emma Stone is an absolute gem as Emma Stone. I even liked how they made the Lizard look more like the original from the comics and not so much like the McFarlane version. I will own this one on Blu-Ray and watch it over and over again. Truly couldn't have been more pleased with this film but then again I went in with no expectations but to be entertained. I'll be seeing this one again this weekend as I wait for Batman.

Mania Review: The Amazing Spider-Man (Article) - 7/3/2012 9:35:26 AM

Glad to hear that this film is getting some good reviews. Look forward to returning to my hometown this week and taking my dad to it. We were both Spiderman fans and can still remember as a kid grabbing the next issue of The Amazing Spiderman at our local 7Eleven each month when gas stations use to sell comics. Good times!

Aykroyd talks Ghostbusters 3 (Article) - 7/2/2012 5:54:55 AM

Holy crap am I tired of hearing about Ghostbusters 3. Let the damn thing die already and move on to something of interest. This every 4 or 5 months surfacing with "we are working on a new script" crap is so old. Heck Mania, why not just go back to your top 10 lists again?!

Taken 2 Poster (Article) - 6/25/2012 11:13:28 AM

Taken is hands down one of my favorite Liam Neeson films. Count me in on this! I'm not expecting them to bring anything new but since I liked their first batch of cookies I have no problem if they use the same cookie cutter on this next round.

Mania Review: Brave (Article) - 6/22/2012 6:36:53 AM

I too will be taking my daughters 8 and 6 to this film over the weekend. Say what you want about Disney but I'm glad to see that they have developed such strong female roles in their worlds that young girls can look up to. Too much crap out their to influence them toward a much poorer self image. Just nice to see that the princesses and fairies all seem to be strong and independent women. This is one parent that can thank Disney for that and pray it helps a little toward keeping them off the pole in later years. ;)

Mania Review: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Article) - 6/22/2012 6:28:05 AM

Finished the book and can't wait to see it this weekend! When it comes to calling out Hollywood and other similiar mediums about losing originality I'm by far guilty. Then comes a film/novel like this that we immediately pass off as ridiculous instead of embracing the fact that it was brave enough to try a new angle of originality. I for one am eating crow after this book and can't wait to see how it transpires onto the silver screen.
