Akuto's life as a future Demon Lord only gets more complicated as it goes along.
What They Say
On his first day, Akuto was told he was destined to become a Demon Lord. He tries his best to tell everyone it's all a misunderstanding, but everything he does just makes matters worse. And then things get even crazier: the government sends an artificial human called a Liladan to watch over him 24/7 and Keena shows up suddenly and jumps him while naked! But then, the most popular girl at school, the head of the girl's dorm Etou Fujiko says that she understands him, and that she'll patch things up with Junko. However...

The opening to this series was a lot more fun than I expected as it had a flavor reminiscent of Kyo Kara Maoh in a way as we're introduced to a lead character who discovers he'll be the Demon Lord someday. That has turned his entire schooling career into a tailspin as he wanted to be a Grand Priest, something that curried him favor with one of the best students at the school, Junko. With pretty much the whole school against him and now a small group of women showing up that have a vested interest in him, Akuto's even more uncertain about his footing in life.
To his surprise, the happy go lucky school principal is intent on making sure that he'll be fine at the school as he's ensured that he'll have regular protection from any issues with some government reassurances. That protection comes in the form of the "artificial human" named Korone, a deadpan speaking young woman who watches over him, going so far as to sleep in his bed with him at first. Her nature as a protector works well but she's also fun to watch because of the way she seems so blasé about things, even when she's tormenting him a little. Korone's placement allows Akuto to have at least one cute girl with him at all times, even when he's hanging out in the bathroom.
Where Akuto's troubles get even worse is when he meets one of the stars of the school, a beautiful young woman named Etou who is the head of the girl's dorm. She gives him words of encouragement and that's all he needs to feel understood enough to think of her as his personal savior. Etou obviously has other plans for him though and starts orchestrating a way for the two of them to meet without Korone at his side. You'd think something like this would be a huge red flag for him considering all that's happened before, but he manages to fall for it pretty easily, though he does get distracted from his plans at times when he starts following Korone and gets to see quite a lot of her panties, as well as her special attribute.
Most of this episode focuses on Korone but we do get some time spent with Keena as well which is cute since she's running around invisible. And naked. The naked part is important since she keeps running into Akuto and getting severely embarrassed. Etou's focus towards the end is kind of fun, though you wish Akuto would realize he's being manipulated, as he talks about getting him on the school disciplinary committee. It's one of those places that the students apparently don't want to be on so Akuto views it as a way to do some good, which is all he really wants to do. But like his janitor position request, which was actually a position that's feared by all, he's about to end up in even more trouble.
This episode wasn't quite as much fun as the first one but at its core it's something that I think I'm going to enjoy a fair bit as fluffy entertainment. The one thing lacking from here, something that I liked in the first, was the way Akuto and Junko played off each other once his future nature became known. Junko is relegated to bookend moments here so losing that interaction makes a difference. Korone is fun and they certainly push enough panty and fanservice shots with her, along with Keena and Etou, so there's a lot there to like as well. This is more about setup than any actual progress here but it's overall a fun episode that lets us get to know the characters a bit more and the kind of manipulations that are coming down the road.
