It looks as if Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are back together again. No, they are not going to be Batman and Robin. In fact they may be producing a new film titled Sleeper, based on the Vertigo Comic by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips. See now I have your attention.

Variety broke the exclusive news that Warner Brothers has the comic series on the fast track and the Affleck and Damon will get first crack at producing duties under their Pearl Street banner. No one, from actors to directors, has been attached to the project yet. Warner Brothers has brought in Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and David Wiener (Last Resort) to pen the adaptation of the comic.

Comic Series Synopsis: “Sleeper” is set in noir universe where a few people are spontaneously developing superpowers — follows Holden Carver, a man who can absorb pain and pass it on to others, as he infiltrates a criminal organization on behalf of a law enforcement agency. His allegiances come into question, especially when he falls for the alluring killer, Miss Misery.

Thought they were re-making Woody Allen's 1970's Sci-Fi comedy.

I'm late to the party but have become a big fan of Brubaker.  His latest, Velvet, is off to a good start.  By the way, what happened to Comicscape and the Pull List?  We need some articles on comics as well.
