After months of endless speculation, teasers, movie stills, posters, clips and viral marketing, it's easy to forget a few fan treats given several months ago for The Dark Knight. Fellow maniac Wiseguy sent me one such tidbit this evening, which some of you eager fans will remember from the IMAX edition of WB's I Am Legend. The clip featured the bank robbery scene, which is rumored to be the beginning of the movie. Well, it was rumored to be the beginning back then. Now, it could be somewhere else after a few edits for the final cut from Nolan and company. Or it could still be the beginning. We shall see in two weeks.
You can watch it below or wait for the film to hit theaters July 18, 2008 if you have the will power. Thanks Wiseguy!
Plot Summary: "The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan with star Christian Bale, who returns to continue Batman's war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.
Here's the bank scene that WB released attached to I Am Legend in December.
Love it...Love...it. Watched the first 3 Batman: Gotham Knight stories last night and they were pretty cool, except for maybe the first one, but if nothing else, it just got me more amped for TDK in a few weeks.
After watching it again,in hindsight you can totally tell which one of them is the Joker from the start. He has a very distinct walk, which is sort of a limp.
This is the beginning! Heat style baby, nuff said.
Surprised you guys have this up though since it's not official.
Wiseguy, is this from the Orlando Sentinel?
That's a great, underused quote, Flint. I'm holding off from watching, but for some reason, just knowing this is available has me stoked. Have a great 4th everyone!
This scene will be in the Batman Begins blu ray coming out next Tuesday.

This will be the beginning of the flick regardless of cuts, this is what sets up the whole movie.
The Joker steals the mobs money and holds it for ransom. That's why he can meet with all the mob families in that scene from the trailers. Then the Joker will burn all the cash as seen in the previews. By the way, that scene is very similar to the part in The Long Halloween where Dent & Batman burn Falcone's money in the warehouse.
This scene will be in an AMC theatre at 12:01 am on 7/18/08.

A grown man(me) sitting in a darkened, crowed theatre with a with a bag of gummie bears strategically placed over his(my)lap hiding his(my)enormous bat-boner.
u r right. my apologies.

LOL Flint!
I've already got my little bat boner goin on and we're 15 days away!
Thanks for the link playa!
hanso, a friend told me about the link and of course I passed it on to Jarrod. I have no idea where it's from.

By the way just finished watching it now and I'm just as pumped as ever. Love it, love it ,love it. The guys at fm are predicting a total of about 350mil for TDK. You know I never thought it would hit 300 but I'm starting to backtrack some on that.

Just got my tickets for the midnight show baby. 14 days, 12 hours and counting.....
Jarrod, no need for the thanks, it's my pleasure.
