Legendary Pictures and Warner Brothers have teamed up with IMAX to release yet another exclusive midnight poster. This time it is for none other than the Pacific Rim. Here is the official press release from IMAX.

Official Press Release: Exclusively for IMAX fans as part of the IMAX FANFIX™ series, those attending first showings of PACIFIC RIM in IMAX® 3D will receive a limited edition PACIFIC RIM print featuring original artwork by Los Angeles based artist, Sergio Grisanti.

"I am thrilled to introduce Sergio Grisanti to the world.  For years he has been a highly respected commercial artist.  When I was first exposed to his art for PACIFIC RIM I knew instantly that he was a powerhouse of talent. He created the Jaeger posters/card art we used at Wondercon.  Without any hesitation I asked him to create this new IMAX FANFIX art.  Look at it closely- with a magnifying glass!  So much going on!  Such power!  Such beauty!  Sergio loves his Kaijus and his Mecha, and it shows.  The poster, like my film, is a tribute to well-loved things. I wish all the fans the best time at the first IMAX screenings of PACIFIC RIM.  Enjoy!" –Guillermo del Toro

Pacific Rim opens July 12th, 2013.

Wise, I'm feeling your negative vibes all over this film, man. Be positive - I think this is going to ROCK!

If you magnify the poster, there's some real cool stuff going on - reminds me of Geoff Darrow's type of work.

Sorry momitchell, not trying to poison anyone's view. Sometimes low expectations lead to the sweetest surprises hopefully that'll be the case here.
