Marvel Studios has been playing a central role in production for their heroes as of late. The previous reports over the past year have indicated that they want to start bringing these characters together with the eventual goal of making an AVENGERS movie.

Well, Moriarty's latest scoop says this tie-in marketing plan may be starting next year with IRON MAN and THE INCREDIBLE HULK. The scooper goes on to say that there seems to be a pivotal scene which has the two franchises are tied in some sort of fashion for the fans though it's not clear what the scene will be about or which film it will appear in. It could be shown in Iron Man, having a scene linked to the events of Incredible Hulk or it could be vice versa. It could end up being in both films.

Also, Paramount has revealed a new official snapshot of IRON MAN, which shows the hero in his red body armor. To see the photo over at Comingsoon, click here.

Paramount's IRON MAN hits theaters May 2, 2008.

Universal's INCREDIBLK HULK hits theaters June 13, 2008.

Lots of great movies coming out in '08.

This could be a brilliant idea if done correctly. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

By the time they make all these movies comic book movies will be as dead as westerns and no name sci-fi movies.

Unlike Jesus comic book movies and westerns will always rise again to walk the earth.

What are no name sci fi movies? Since all sci fi movies have names then they must not exist so they cant die.

sound terrific, but also can suck ! if it s only computer figth it will be too much cartoons style, like keanu reeves figth in matrix...

Uh...what exactly does that mean, bdd? "as dead as westerns and no name sci-fi movies"...I'm really trying to comprehend that statement. With the popularity of shows like "Deadwood", and with the acclaim of movies like "3:10 to Yuma", not to mention smaller westerns that come out here and there, such as "Hildago" and "American Outlaws"...how exactly are westerns dead? And no name sci-fi movies? If no name sci-fi movies didn't keep coming out, then B-movies would a thing of the past. So judging by your statement, superhero movies will never die! Fantastic.

They should mention there is a flying boy scout up in Metropolis in the new Dark Knight movie.
But no "This is why Superman works alone" crap from Batman & Robin.

The suit looks great, the casting seems great, and if I was an Iron Man fan, I might be thrilled.

Hopefully something re-ignites my interest in a genre that feels like it's getting over-saturated.

Come on Hanso, that line was funny.....A cross-over ind of thing would be cool. Maybe they will do in in terms of a Villian or something. I am psyched for both of these movies.

While I am skeptical about any major "team up" movies (a la Avengers or Justice League)... I must admit that this way of doing it would be much more likely to succeed than the steaming pile of dog doo that is getting ready to get dropped under the Justice League tag.

Give each of the major participants an origin story movie of their own with subtle hints of a tie-in and then bring them together for a slam bang action fest. Could actually work.
