INDIANA JONES 4 Has Full Official Title

In a move which caught nearly everyone off guard, actor Shia LaBeouf has revealed the official title of Indiana Jones 4 to the press. While at the MTV Music Awards last night, the actor set the record straight, revealing the title to be INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. It seems that it was planned to reveal the title of the film specifically at this event. Spielberg has confirmed the new title and the announcement over at the official indianajones.com website.

The fourth installment of the Indy franchise stars Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Ray Winstone and John Hurt. Director Steven Spielberg is currently shooting the film on the Universal backlot. George Lucas is returning as executive producer, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall as producers.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL hits theaters everywhere on Thursday, May 22, 2008.

Btw, I'm excited for the movie..

But I'm not too sure about this title. I'd be more confident of the title if Steven Spielberg and Company had some "official" plot concept released about the film so I could make a connection with "Crystal Skull", not just the wild internet rumors about the plot..

What do you guys think?

I love it. No matter what it's called.

Though I wonder if this is a "Blue Harvest" title ... but probably not.

8 months away... can't wait.

By the way, from Wikipedia: "Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull is located at Tokyo DisneySea theme park in Tokyo."

I don't mind the title but it does sound like something Lucas would come up with...I need to see a trailer or something to make the connection I guess...

Sounds like a really bad villain from the 70's..
Not a big fan of this title, but I doubt it will effect the films quality much... still can't wait.

Hah. Oh, I know I'll be in the theater no matter what the title is, gutsmgee...

I was just wondering if we're going to get some sort of official plot concept (I don't need a summary, just a general idea) so I can picture what the "Crystal Skull" connection is to..

Perhaps, it's time to look up that Tokyo Crystal Skull ride that Miko34 is referring to and see what the theme is about..
