If you're eagerly awaiting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and haven't picked up the latest issue of Vanity Fair, perhaps you should. Or you can just check out the links I'm about to provide you and read it there online. The magazine just featured the upcoming return of Dr. Jones in their latest issue with some new interviews from Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. They also provided some decent set photos, provided by Annie Leibovitz, one of those photos showing Cate Blanchett's character for the first time.

To check out the full piece, click here.

The long awaited fourth installment of the series stars Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen, John Hurt and Jim Broadbent. Steven Spielberg once again directs the film, based on a screenplay written by David Koepp and Jeff Nathanson.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will hit theaters May 22, 2008.

Here's those photos provided by Annie Leibovitz.

Karen Allen looks stunning, youthful and slim, terrific to see her back in the franchise. Also Cate Blanchett morphs flawlessly into yet another character. It will be good to get re-acquainted with Dr Jones and his latest adventure. THE film of the year?

Annie Leibovitz is such an amazing photographer. Her photos are always so rich in mood, details and colors. Karen Allen does indeed look terrific, and Cate looks sexy as hell in a very "I'll kick your ass, comrade" kind of way. This movie can't get to the theaters fast enough for me.

"sexy as hell in a very 'I'll kick your ass, comrade' kind of way" - wow I've never thought of sexy that way, but ok.
I'm getting excited about this. Can't wait to see where they are going with his character and life. I'm sure this will be fun.

I really hope this movie is good, i still have a lot of love for Spielberg(even though his name is attached to that turd call transformers) and Harrison Ford for once needs another hit. The only problem for me is the casting of flavor of the month Shia Lachew (or whatever his last name is), to me he is a very annoying actor..

almostbiased,

Just think Barroness from G.I. Joe! There is nothing sexier than a good bad girl that kicks ass! I with ya Wessmith! Cate looks HOT! It's been a while since we've seen a good villainess!

“I’m in my second cut, which means I’ve put the movie together and I’ve seen it,” he says. “I usually do about five cuts as a director. The best news is that, when I saw the movie myself the first time, there was nothing I wanted to go back and shoot, nothing I wanted to reshoot, and nothing I wanted to add.”

Look Steven, I'm trying to keep my expectations as low as possible. Could you be a little less confident from now on? Thanks.

Now I'm getting psyched for this film... damnit! ;-p
