Co-distributors Universal Pictures and The Weinstein Company have announced a theatrical debut date for Quentin Tarantino next film. Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt-pictured) will be fighting back with Inglourious Basterds (intentionally-misspelled-title) in theaters on August 21, 2009 alongside co-stars Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sonke Mohring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet, Cloris Leachman, Maggie Cheung and Samuel L. Jackson. Tarantino penned penned the screenplay as well as directed.

Plot Concept: Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.

Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own...

Basterds' new debut has it going up against New Line's fourth installment of Final Destination: Death Trip 3-D and Paramount's comedy The Goods: The Don Ready Story.

I liked this better when it was called The Expendables starring Tom Arnold, no wait, I mean starring Sylvester Stallone. Hey yo whats up with the comment box being so freaking small? Is it just my work computer or is this for everybody? Why did they have to go and erase my profile views again!? Happy New Year peeps.

Isn't this based on a comic? Holy crap, I hope this website is a work in progress yet. hanso buddy, you used to have like 10,000 views now you have been reset, lol. That's the 2nd time that's happened to me. Mania, I applaud you changing this site it had to be done but I hope you have a broad view of the news again and how many comments people are posting. That sometimes gets me to read the article. If I notice 10 or more people commenting on something I'll check it out but if I can't see that then I'm not going to bother.

I am really looking forward to this movie. World War II and Tarantino seem like perfect bed fellows. Although the comments section is a train wreck, I do like the look of the site a little better than the last "update".

Well other than the wild color schemes this site seems to flow (and load) 10 times better than before. As far as this movie I am trying to figure out where Samuel L & Maggie Cheung fit in.
