Just two weeks after the second set hit the market, and about two months after the first, FUNimation has notified retailers of a price drop for the two sets. Originally priced at $59.98 each for the bilingual sets, which is market standard now for the most part, FUNimation has reduced each of them to $49.98 per set. No reason was given, or at least let on by the retailers that have made the change.
Right Stuf has notified its customers that all open orders will be adjusted to reflect this change. For those who were interested in the series, note that Right Stuf is offering both parts in the Weekly Specials for $29.99 through 11:59 p.m. CDT on July 14.
Plot Summary:Nobody drives like Takumi; his instincts, confidence, and downhill expertise make him seem unbeatable. Now that he's joined the Project D racing crew, his reputation precedes him as the team travels the region, facing the competition on its own turf. Every challenger brings a unique style and each course holds its own dangers, but no matter the obstacle in Takumi's headlights, he'll do whatever it takes to put it in the rearview mirror. Because he knows when you're born to race and driven to be the best, it's not enough to be fast - Takumi won't take his eyes off the road until he's faster than everyone else.
