yeah right violator, this can gets opened everytime X-Men comes up. I think bottom line is that most like me and pony for example know what has been done and despite how much they've fucked with canon this is the X-Men movies we have. It isn't like someone else is making an X film so we have to settle for this or nothing

Yep.  It is this or nothing.  And I'm okay with it.  Looking forward to it.  The story looks compelling and I'm warming up to the cast of characters.  Hell, anything with a Magneto has to be cool.  And I can't wait to see how they do Banshee.

I actually liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine better than I did the three X-Men movies. I'll watch this not giving a shit what they do to continuity. You know studios like Fox won't change, so accept it or just stay home.

I liked Wolverine as well.  Not as much as the first 2 but more then the 3rd.  I think they only thing I really hated about the movie was the ending with the bullets that erase his memory and the way they handled Deadpool as I would have liked that part to remain in continuity with the new Deadpool movie.

As for X-Men movie...I have to make myself realize, like Wise and others, that this is just a different timeline/version of X-Men and take what I get for now.  And that this really has nothing to do with my favorite comic book.

...and that hopefully *sniffle* Marvel will someday regain the rights *wimper* of and bring it to justice...*CRIES realizing what X-Men could be*...

What blows my mind is how many times canon in comics has been changed. How many alternate universes/beings/events happened in any comic to where if I was a kid, and read only that comic thread, I'd think that was true. Say if Wise, Hobbs or Violator read a different thread from a different story, they'd think that was true.

Who cares if they put in a few different mutants? The idea behind X-Men from Stan Lee was always about showing the diversity of humanity, and how we have good and bad on both sides.

I for one think this movie will kick some major ass. Don't know how big it will be, but I think it will critically be a success.

 I must have missed it but did they say somewhere in here that Banshee wasn't Irish?  Or that Havok was the lder brother?  I wasn't too big on this re-hash of X-Men but i'm digging what i've seen so far.  I like that the uniforms have more colour.  A throwback to the Blue and Yellow.

Ya guys i get it. Is this movie gonna be any good? I have NO doubt this will be entertaining as hell.

But i do think we as the true comic fans/geeks should still continue to voice our opinions as to how wrong some stories can be only to let the studios know how things should be done. I say that especially cuz we actually seem to have SOME sort of control and say about how things should be done with these products even if it's a small percentage to the executives' decisions. It really seems like studios and producers sometimes literally read what we bitch and complain about and will make at least a very small percentage in effort to please us. And i do emphasize the word "Sometimes".

So if even one producer sees how we really want a movie done, hopefully it will plant a good seed for the future to come. If we keep "accepting" movies for what they are, they'll just read that and think they're doing just fine. That's just my 2 cents.

So one more time for the road. Will I watch this movie and will it be cool??? hell yes!  ......Will i be annoyed that it would have been even COOLER with the original 5?? HELL YES!!!

I will be one of the first ones there and I reckon it will be cool but still confused by this ALTERNATIVE universe.

They already have had Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman and Angel in this Universe so why cant the oruginal 5 be in First Class? Why do they love Mystique so much - she looks worse in this film than the other 3.

This is the eternal conflict of fanboy vs newbie.

  I have to say, this is one of my favorite trailers yet.  I'm personally looking forward to this movie.  The whole mood and setting appeal to me.  I hope we get a summer where all the superhero movies are solid.  It would have been great if they could have started with this as the first installment, with the original X-Men team.  Just reboot the whole franchise. I'm also looking forward to the fact that this is first X movie without the water downed Wolvie.
