The gang ends up in another mysterious village run by a demon. This one feeds on the misery in one's soul. Inu Yasha has been hurting since Kikyo's death, making him a tempting treat. The demon is defeated, and Inu Yasha realizes Kagome is hurting as much as he is. We close on a cliffhanger that sees Kanna create a demon from her mirror. The demon copies Tetsusaiga and steals all the demonic energy from the original.
There is little else to say about this episode; it does not do anything particularly good or bad. It is simply padding out the story to meet the desired episode count. Though it does beg the infuriating question of why Naraku did not try this move much earlier and with more minions in the wings to harass Inu Yasha.
In Summary:
There is little to recommend in this episode; it pads things out for twenty minutes leaving the last ten to setup Naraku's latest plan. The action is mediocre, and the tense character moments are all too familiar. The best thing you can do is skip to the last few minutes; the design for Kanna's mirror demon is rather nice.
