Calibur, I can deal with it but still not happy with the altered Fury.  It didn't hurt the movie in any means but I would still like him to be the guy I read growing up.

IM2 was good just not as good as the 1st film. 1. Hammer sucked, he way to hammy and i didn't believe or see him as a viable threat just an idiot. 2. Scarlett while pretty to oogle at didn't give much else to the film. 3. More explosions and robots (really well done) didn't make for realism. The 1st film was much better balancing the crazy techno of Iron Man with gritty realism just remember the sequence in the Middle East with Iron Man's 1st operational kick ass performance. Now the good, the New Rhodes is awesome, Mickey was awesome (just not in the film as much as i would have liked), and Samuel L was awesome. Plot-wise not as much heart and soul as the 1st film... ultimately forgivable because it is an overall solid entry to the whole Marvel Film-Verse.

******* spoiler *********

and there was no mention of "The Ten Rings" i'm like... huh...

Dude, Iron Man 2 was amazing. Much beter than the original one!

Twilight: New Moon may have had a bigger opening weekend but that movie made the largest chunk of it's money on the first day.  My fun fact about that piece of shit movie is that it's ranked 6th all time for the biggest opening weekend Friday to Saturday drops (-41.83%).  The thing made it's bank on the first day and coasted on teenage girls for the rest.   I think IM2 will have very little dropoff next weekend and in fact  IM2 can ride a solid money train for several weeks.

BTW, who's bright idea was it to put the new Twilight trailer before Iron Man 2.  I don't think that is exactly it's target audience.  Saw IM2 at the Arclight on Saturday and the audience booed which made me all kinds of happy.

GLCorpsMember, They show the new Twilight trailer at my theater...THANK GOD!

Iracors, the 10 Rings didn't blatantly appear in the film, but it's been reported that the guy who gave Ivan the tickets and passport to Monaco worked for the 10 Rings.  SO I guess they were there, but we just wouldn't have known it right away.

Too bad the Nightmare remake isn't doing as well as hoped...the movie wasn't bad at all, and certainly doesn't deserve the bad reception it's gotten.  Not saying it was perfect, but seriously, it was the best remake of the bunch.  I have a feeling once it's on home video, more people will give it a try.  Looking forward to seeing Ironman 2 next weekend!

Faverau has said that the guy that hands Vanko his papers and documents is a member of Ten Rings or Mandalorian agent or some such thing.  I don't know if it will be in a deleted scene or what.

Just sayin'

Redhairs99 i also read that comment and when i watched the film for the 2nd time i trained my eye to look for anything "Ten Rings" and didn't see it, it's must be so quick i might have to freeze frame it and look more because... it's far too quick to even notice.

redhairs99 5/11/2010 11:53:02 AM

I don't think there was anything marking the guy as being part of the 10 Rings.  It's just what Faverau has said since the film came out.
