Iron Man Mark XLVII Armor

Latino Review already had the upgrade's of the Iron Patriot armor on the their site. Now it seems their will be even more new armor for Iron Man. Da7e is reporting the new armor will be the MACH XLVII (47).  Which means what we keep seeing on the web is not Mark VIII, the eighth armor, but the forty-seventh armor. It looks as if Mr. Stark has been busy since he and Bruce Banner drove away in The Avengers.

[BEGIN SPOILERS]
 

 

The Extremis-enhanced bad guys under direction of Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin villain are going to be too much for Tony to handle on his own, so he thinks ahead, thinks big and has a plan. Tony’s about to go out and fight some bad guys when he mentions the Mark XLVII to Pepper Potts. Pepper asks what happened to the other forty and Tony just smiles.
 
From the cockpit of Mark XLVII Tony is able to control multiple armors in battle. We over here at LR have been vaguely aware of an action scene where Tony was going to control multiple Iron Man suits (presumably they look similar to distract his enemies as to the location of kill-able Iron Man Prime), but the number 40 seems…awesome. 40 Iron Men.

Seems like there might be a battle brewing that will be like The Avengers times 10!  This just gets better and better with each bit of new news!

....still trying to put my brain pieces together, but i just wanted to ask if anyone knows if this happens in the comics at all too, or is this an original idea by the studios??

I can't recall having seen it in the comics off hand but wouldn't be surprised if it has maybe to a smaller degree.

Love the idea of seing this on screen, although I was really hoping to see a Hulkbuster armor in the background after Avengers as well.

OK: Iron Man = Tony vs. a bad guy in armor.  Iron Man 2 = Tony and Buddy in armor battling bad guy's armored drones.

Coming next year: 

Iron Man 3 = Tony and Buddy with 40 armored drones battling more armored (extremis enhanced) bad guys.

 

While entertaining, not very original.  Can't wait for Thor and Cap to grace the silver screen again. Their sequels are sounding a heck of a lot more original.

It would truly be awesome if perhaps the Hulk could make a cameo and help out Iron Man. Especially since u see them leaving together to do who knows what (probably do some science stuff, and then do some strippers) at the end of Avengers.

Just for the record, the Extremis project is more of a Super-Super Solider serum, not Armor, unless some change's have been made/added to the story........no worry's here, i'm certain I.M.3 is gonna rock and have enough inside info/easter egg's that we all love
