Iron Man Comiquette - Sideshow Exclusive

Iron Man launches Sideshow Collectibles' line of 'Comiquettes,' sculptural studies of comic-based characters. The 1:4 scale Iron Man comiquette is based on the sensational cover art from The Invincible Iron Man #76, painted by fan favorite artist Adi Granov.

This polystone statue features every minute detail, right down to every nut, bolt and rivet. Adorned in his trademark red and gold armor and finished with a dazzlingly realistic looking metallic paint, old Shellhead pounds a mighty gauntlet into the earth and stands ready to deflect bullets and fire off a repulsor beam at oncoming attackers. The Sideshow Exclusive version of the Iron Man comiquette includes a unique Tony Stark portrait, which is interchangeable with the Iron Man head.

The figure will be relased in the 3rd quarter of 2006, with a price tag of $249.99.

That is bad ass....but $250 bucks makes this yet again an item that is way too expensive for the average comic book fan...I hate to say that only the basement dwellers and rich geeks will get to own this one, geeks like me that have a wife and kids will yet again be denied!! CURSE YOU MARVEL!...and RICHARDS TOO!

Now THAT my friends IS a statue! Mega kickass! Excellent pose too! But I agree with sirjazzy, the price range is going to cap interests quickly and prevent sales hitting into the profit margins for the company. Unfortunately. But that is definately a great statue of the crimson & gold Avenger!

Well, I better make room on my shelves because it will look great to some of the others I have bought in the past.

Wish more would come out with a scaling though. Just hate having an Iron Man, and a Captain America statue that stand larger than my Hulk statue. lol

seriously dragon, why can't dc direct put good stuff out there. i love dc but their stuff always is lame and over-priced (not that this isn't, but at least it's cool). like that damn batman belt. what the f? at least we're not expected to buy tie-in statues like the comics. hey dc, take note....this is what your stuff is supposed to look like....douchebags =)

By far one of the better statues I've seen in a long time. I usually collect some Mcfarlane items here and there, but his stuff has kind of tittered out for me. This is awesome in pose and all around design. Cleaning a spot on my shelves as well, Xeqtor. Expensive or not, this is my taste in art and a hell of a lot cheaper than a Picaso...

Much cheaper than the Picasso :)

And honestly with the price of a lot of other things out there. Not that bad. At least its not going to have to be replaced with the next best thing like my 360 will be in about 5 years or so. lol
