It's not news that Woo wants direct RAINBOW SIX

In an article published today in Variety, the news magazine reports that director John Woo is attached to direct RAINBOW SIX, Ton Clancy's spinoff series following the adventures of CIA operative John Clark and his anti-terrorism squad. We first received a scoop last February about Woo's interest in helming RAINBOW SIX; today's news just appears to be official confirmation by Paramount Pictures of Woo's involvement.
The director of FACE/OFF and PAYCHECK, Woo is also attached to direct Universal's SPY HUNTER, scheduled for release next summer. Will today's news affect Woo doing the SPY HUNTER movie?
