In an interview with MTV, Ja Rule, who appeared with Vin Diesel in THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, talked about his decision to skip the sequel (as Vin did) and instead join this summer's biggest new star in another sequel, Diesel's THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK.
RIDDICK is now set to be a trilogy of films all following Diesel's PITCH BLACK, a plan Diesel has likened to THE LORD OF THE RINGS following THE HOBBIT. What did Ja Rule have to say?
"We haven't seen the scripts and stuff yet, but we should be getting 'em real soon," Rule said. "And me and Vin [have] been talking, so you know, it should be real hot"
About his decision not to go to FURIOUS 2, he said, "Me and Vin talked after he turned it down. He hollered at me 'cause they still wanted me to do the film and they bumped up my role as a starring role and everything. And you know, we talked about it. I just felt it wasn't the best move for me as far as what I want to do in Hollywood right now."
