Ha! he said Triads, in Japan...when its actually Yakuza....but same sh*t different smell right?

Hugh Jackman is out making the press rounds for his new epic movie 'Australia', which means he's going to be answering a lot of questions about 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'. MTV put it to him on a recent stop and got the actor to talk about his vision for the sequel to that spin-off movie.
Jackman has high praise for screenwriter David Benioff, who is apparently a massive comics fan and Wolverine fan. He said Benioff puts a unique twist on the character that will surprise fans.
The actor also said he wants to keep playing the character on the big screen, but is also willing to walk away if the fans show that they're tired of him in the role. If he does do another he'd love it to spin out of Chris Claremont and Fran Miller's stories, which saw the charcter living the samurai code in Japan.

anyone have any guesses as to what is the unique twist he's putting on Wolverine?
I'm willing to let Hugh keep playing Wolverine as long as he doesn't do anymore crying, it's effing Wolverine and there is no crying in Wolverine. Give us a trailer already
And if Hugh keeps doing Wolverine we'll have to go the Old Man Logan route soon.
I have a million guesses on what the twist may be but not enough time to list them except to say that it's probably hyperbole
Sounds pretty good. I hope this movie does the other characters some justice. I hate it when they show clips of cool characters in the trailers, and it ends up their entire time in the movie is the length of the 30 second clip, and we're like WTF!?
the "TWIST"?? Hmmm..... since it's the writer of Troy, maybe Wolvie kills the Blob in front of an army of mutants and then says.. "IS THERE NO ONE ELSE?! ..... ISS THERE NOO ONE ELSE!?" haha
Too bad those morons who did X-Men 2 already introduced Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu.. Oh mama) in that movie and got killed. I mean isnt she a big part of his origins story? ..... *sigh* .... I really would've wanted to see Wolverine give it to her with his Adamantium Boner... HAHAHHA
he's pretty much the only guy who's portrayed a live action Wolverine right? Well other than the guy who played him in the American Express or Visa commercial?
Umm, wouldn't they still be able to include Lady Deathstrike? I am assuming this origin story is before the X-films. So I don't see what the problem would be?
Here's hoping the script writer really is a comics fanboy. Jackman's Wolverine has been pretty solid in my opinion throughout the movies (uh, haven't seen 3 though) and I too would LOVE to see him doing some of the material set in Japan. There's some great stuff there and that was also some of the first Wolverine-only stuff I read in the comics.
I've got higher hopes for the Wolverine movie after this.
Its good that the screenwriter is a comics fan. Howerer, I don't trust twists. I did see the leaked comic con trailer on youtube a few months ago, so I still have some hope for this film.
His age is fine, as long as he keeps himself in shape you can get another movie or two out of him and by that point we'll probably be tired of the Wolvie movies anyways and we'll need to reboot it or something.
You have to respect the man for willing to walk away from the money maker role if the fans want him to. Though I'm sure he'll keep producing them even if he doesn't star in them.
I would love to see the next movie be about Miller and Claremonts mini-series. As much as I hate Claremont without Byrne to help him out, that was a really good series and made me wonder if Miller didn't have any input. Claremont is a long-winded writer otherwise.
Here's hoping this is a good movie from Mr. SexyManAlive!
