This movie sounds awful, like a regurgitation of Clooney's "Peacemaker". Is it me or does Samuel Jackson now do any movie that comes his way? His career is going down the tubes, soon he'll be making crap movies that go straight to video like Seagal or Cuba Gooding. Gauranteed you'll see this movie in a dvd 3-pack at Walmart for $6.99 with XXX: State of the Union and Formula 51.

I think Jackson comes to moviemaking from a blue collar worker attitude. You're an excellent carpenter and when someone offers you a job, whether its making fine cabinetry or a doghouse, if they meet your fee you go ahead and do it.
I personally don't mind it. In whatever role he's in, even if the movie is bad, Jackson is always good and steals every scene he's in.
You'll get the best muthaf**kin' dogouse for your muthaf**kin' dog!

Just because SLJ isn`t as choosey as say Daniel Day Lewis doesn`t mean his career is going down the tubes. I love when people say that. Its such a misinformed statement. You picked 2 bad movies he was in. Actually, one because I liked Formula 51. Anyway, he`s been so many more good movies this and last year. Black Snake Moan being one of them. Resurrecting the Champ, Jumper, Freedomland, being others.

I got this from Wikipedia about how he picks his roles: Jackson has noted that he chooses roles that are "exciting to watch" and have an "interesting character inside of a story", and that in his roles he wanted to "do things [he hasn't] done, things he saw as a kid and wanted to do and now has an opportunity to do"

Leanu13.."goin down the tubes"?? lol.. More like TANKED - I think he's been riding the coat tails of Pulp Fiction since 1994. I personally don't care for him or his movies. The only movies i thought he was TOLERABLE in was Die Hard and Changing Lanes. Other than that I feel like he was the same character just yelling and screaming each line in each of those movies. YAWN...

I love SLJ, but this guy doesn't know the word "no". I guess he is the black Gene Hackman. Another great actor who didn't turn anything down.

Wouldn't Jackson doing the Unthinkable be him saying "NO" to this or any project?

Jackson not being choosy means he's working and making butt loads of money...I think Monkeyfoot hit it right on the dot, he has that blue collar worker attitude and if he's working that much he has to be banking money and if he is saving it by the time he does retire then he will be well, well off...Good for him...

hey ponyboy76, newsflash, Black Snake Moan sucked!! I agree with the riding the coat tails of Pulp Fiction bit said by jonniej1017. I have thought of him as a money hungry actor that can't say no for about 9 years now. I have this on a spreadsheet where I am tracking items like this, that's how I knew about how long I have been thinking that. Just sucks though because Microsoft keeps changing excel and I have to keep reformatting stuff.
