Jak-ked Up

JAK AND DAXTER became a hit due to stellar gameplay, beautiful graphics and a wonderful story told through excellent animation. Two years later, Naughty Dog Studios is preparing the much-awaited sequel. This time, though, things are quite a bit different.
"It's very, very, very new -- we've changed an incredible amount in the game," says Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin. "The characters have gone through a complete redesign. The style of the artwork has been changed to reflect the times better. The game has been expanded greatly and now it's truly plot-driven."
Gamers will now get a chance to use weapons, a hoverboard, vehicles throughout the city and follow a mission-based storyline (much like GRAND THEFT AUTO). Jak can even mutate into a dark version of himself (think DEVIL MAY CRY). But given the grand success of JAK AND DAXTER, why change a proven formula?
