Let's face it his character in The Office was basically a human Ultron...

I've always loved James Spader, this is another great piece of casting news!  And yeah he's made a career out of playing d-bags and a-holes, which is perfect for Ultron haha!

JARVIS will become The Vision, I think with some tinkering from Ultron!

BunyonSnipe that's a new bit of twist/speculation.....I like it. A lot of us are assuming JARVIS will become Ultron but your idea sounds better to me

Yeah it just hit me, Bettany is an imposing guy, I think his casting was all building up to this, for some reason.

I think Marvel has destroyed superhero movies. Since the Avengers all these companies seem interested in is building a "cinematic universe." It is because of this nonsense that it will probably be some time until we will have another movie series like Nolan's Batman films. I actually read an article about the future of Sony's Spider-Man franchise, talking about the possibilities of spin-off's. They actually referred to it as the "Spider-Man universe." Lord, I'm sick of all this. I think the studios should just find film makers that have a particular vision for a single character, much like Nolan did, and just let them make their film the way they want to. Then let it be judged by it's own merit and not how it fits in with the rest of the roster. The whole thing is foolish.

I thought Nolan almost destroyed superhero movies by taking the "super" out.

Btw the "Spidey-universe" isn't something new either. Just like X-universe these characters although they'd cross over with the rest of the Marvel characters usually stood in their own corner and self-contained world to a degree.

exactly... Spider has heis own villains and supporting heroes, including ones, like The Punisher who went and got their own titles...

Daredevil's Hell's Kitchen was also like it's own pocket universe, too...

The Vision was built by Ultron to kill the Avengers in the silver age of comics. Ultron 5 was pure machine built by Pym . I hope they put some good CGI over Spader to look robotic . I hope this is a better movie than the last .

"I think Marvel has destroyed superhero movies"

LOL! So says the one with a boner for Nolan and a Batman avatar.

I would have to say Marvel Studios ressurected superhero movies.  Ever since the MCU debut in 2008, there hasn't really been a terrible superhero movie. Perhaps Green Lantern is the exception but I didn't find that one all that bad. All the MCU movies were well received and did good box office. X-men First Class, Amazing Spidey and now Man of Steel, all seemed to have followed the long term goal of well established cinematic universe and it seems to be making a lot of fanboys happy.

Sorry..but the cinematic universes from Marvel, Fox. Sony and DC are here to stay.
