It's funny people saying all Spader has played are douchebags when all I remember him in is Stargate..

Ok, 95% of the characters he's played are douchebags. The few times when he's played good guys he was bland and boring and that includes Stargate.

 Cinematic universes are balls.

I dare anyone to say that Spader was Bland and Boring in "Tuff Turf"......which, by the way, contained a young Robert Downey Jr..........but Spader was bland and boring in Stargate.....

I actually loved Stargate!  That was the first thing to come to mind when they announced he'd be Ultron.  I did find Michael Shanks to be a much better Daniel Jackson than Spader, but that may have more to do with the writing than his acting ability.  Especially after seeing Shank stink up the screen as Hawkman on Smallville.

My man James Spader is gonna own this. He is so perfect to voice a robot who becomes hellbent on destroying humanity. Many of characters (see: Alan Shore) have always seemed to possess a sort of detachment from people almost to the point where they seem mechanical. His great mannerisms have always emphasized that fact. To anyone who doesn't think he can be intimidating, watch Boston Legal where his voice becomes lower, more cunning, more manipulative, and tell me you don't feel intimated especially with that piercing gaze of his. They almost lost me with Elizabeth Olson, yet they've managed to reel me back in with this casting. He is one of my all-time favorites. My first exposure of him was his role as Steff in Pretty in Pink, he was such a great sleazy d-bag in that film. I love him in Stargate. The role sticks out on his resume because it is among the only times where he played a genuine nice guy. No one can really replace him in that role for me, just as no one can really replace Kurt Russell for me.

Yes, I enjoyed Nolan's Batman films a lot. And yes I'm a Batman fan. But I'm not an unreasonable fanboy. In fact, Hulk is one of my favorite characters. And I'm still waiting for them to do him justice on film. Marvel seems so afraid to do another SOLO Hulk film. Why are they so afraid to give him a personality and allow him to speak? (And when I say speak, I mean more than two lines an entire film.) All they need to do is introduce Rick Jones and for the love of God, bring back the Leader as the villain. You remember, they teased him in The Incredible Hulk, that movie that everyone seems to have forgotten about.

P.S. I hear that nobody beats you. (The Whiz!)

Not a bad choice. Spader has the ability to pull off those psychotic roles with ease. I think he will make a good andriod gone psychotic and deranged.  However, I do agree that Jarvis' voice shouldn't be the voice of Ultron.  Keep Jarvis pure and comical as he's always been!!

 Thank's, jonniej!!!!

Tuff Turf is still one of my Favorite Movie's!!!!
