Game Of Thrones: Kissed by Fire Preview

Episode #5

By Robert T. Trate     April 22, 2013

Here is HBO’s preview of the next episode of Game Of Thrones. The fifth episode of season 3, “Kissed by Fire” airs this Sunday only on HBO. Sound off below Maniacs. Are we off book or is this a faithful adaptation to George RR Martin’s novel?

Looks great as usual.  Not sure what can top the end of last night's episode though.  That was one of my 2 favorite moments in the entire series.

It's no surprise that the best novel of the series is transforming into the best season of the show. I think that I heard that the novel is spanning 2 season on the tele so I'm looking forward to greatness. The whole crew and staff is doing a bang up job of recreating the story and staying as faithful to the source material without it feeling stff and predictable. This show is awesome!

Agreed with both posts, how can anyone who has never seen the show until last night, not be in love with what's going on here? After last night I am now sold 110% on this and look forward to what's coming next...I have never read the novels so I will now since they are translating so well onto the screen, which leads me to believe they are even better than the show itself...The End

I'm curious if Dany starts to lose fans from here on out.  It seems to me  that last nights events was one of the last times I really enjoyed Dany's parts in the books.  I'm not a Dany hater like some readers, but I thought this was where she peaked if my memory serves me correctly.

Book spoilers:

I can see where you are coming from isgrimmer.   That's probably why that scene is my favorite from the books.  There are still great moments for her but for me, nothing coming is as bad ass as her  taking over Astapor.  Part of that is probably because this was her really taking charge for the first time.  Now that she has the army, she needs to figure out how to use it and how to get to Westeros.  I think readers assumed she would get there sooner rather than later and are probably upset that she hasn't yet.  Dance with Dragons left a lot of readers wanting as far as Dany's story goes.  For having that title, there was a surprising lack of dragons.  But the writers changed her story up a bit for the second season to make it more exciting.  I'm confident they'll do the same for the rest of the series.

It took last night's episode to win you over mlaforce? Shit I remember being wowed when they premiered the first 15 minutes of season 1 episode 1. And after watching about 3 episodes I averred that it was the best series ever on television as far as I was concerned.

At the end of every episode I can't wait to watch it again and then the countdown til next week. I'm already a little sad that we're practically half way through the season
