Jaime King is set to lead Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine 3-D, says The Hollywood Reporter. The remake of the 81 slasher will be directed by Patrick Lussier, based on a screenplay by Zane Smith. The indie distributor is planning to release it January 23, 2009. Production will get rolling on May 12.
Plot Concept: Story centers around a murderer who kills those who celebrate Valentine's Day. King will play Sarah Palmer, a woman who has married her teenage sweetheart's nemesis, and the pair have a child together. When she and her first love are reunited, it becomes clear that she still carries a torch for the man.
I liked the original and still watch it from time to time on dvd. But please no more PG-13 would it kill them to make a R movie. With it being Lionsgate we might just get a R movie who knows. I do know how hollywood is nowadays cashing in on the work of others but give us something decent to watch. And drop the 3-D shit... just something else hollywood can expliot to this younger audience.
This will be lame. The original was great. The whole thing with the killer in the miner outfit was creepy. I'll prob skip this remake unless they plan on using the same idea and use the name Harry Warden.

The original was one of my favorite '80's horror flick, and scared the bejesus out of me at that time! Someone wants to redo it... eh.
Shocker, I agree with you on most points here but I like the new 3D. Having said that if they go that route I doubt they'll stick to an R rating since 3D is basically a gimmick to bring in the younger audience, IMO. Then again maybe they'll follow Friday 13th 3's lead. Hell I may see this just for Jamie King.
Sounds nothing like the original, but it will swallow as bad as that shit fest prom night is going to. These blonde chicks like Jamie King, whats its name in Prom Night and the chick playing Sarah Marshall are not attractive. Kinda ugly actually. Lindsay Lohan keeps getting uglier and uglier and uglier--her dress look bad on her. Try some jeans.
