In September of this year, Alter Ego will begin shipping the Jaws Attack Shark Statue.

The figure features a brass plate that measures 10 ½' x 8' and reads "Attack shark." The shark measures 4 ¾' high and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The statue is limited to a 1,975 pieces run, thus commemorating the year of the film's release.

It is priced at $359.10.

Haha, I'm with you, gutsmgee. I always click on these and am always disappointed by the insane price points.

I don't even think I'd pay $360 for a REAL shark to put in the pond out back.

To me.. The funniest part is the extra 10 cents they slapped on the end....I wonder if thats the "Crappy Likeness" tax....or the "My 3 year old could have sculpted more realistic water with cigarette ashes and glue" tax?

The shark still looks fake!!

"comes with a Certificate of Authenticity."

Is that even really necessary? Will anyone ever try to produce a fake one?

"Hey, Jim, that's a nice Jaws statue you have. Show my the Certificate of Authenticity though, cause I think that might be a fake."

I could be wrong, but I don't remember Jaws having freckles...

Also, is it just me, or do these fricking mini "pop-up" boxes, that mania.com recently added to every other word on each page, annoy the hell out of anybody else but me!?

That water looks like something I made in elementary school.

jochimus • Jun 13, 2007, 06:30pm •
Damn...you would think after 30 years one of these companies would be able to put a Jaws sculpture that actually LOOKS like the shark in the movie, 'cuz this one don't look a thing like 'Bruce'.

oporca • Jul 21, 2008, 10:02pm •
As a matter of fact...a Bruce that looks almost better than the one in the film has finally arrived:
