Fantastic Four: Official Teaser Trailer (Article) - 1/29/2015 12:41:30 PM

Wiseguy, Marvel went with the Ultimate Universe Furry which he is black. Even though the rest of the Avengers are inspired by the 616 in the movies, most of the definitions of the characters are from the Ultimate Universe.

Also, it was pre-establised that he was black in the U-verse and in the 616, he was white. For this situation, regardless if in our ''new world'' mixed race and adoptions are common, the character itself isn't black.

Should Black Panther be changed to a white ruler of Africa?

Should Luke Cage become hispanic to represent the new generation of the world?

The movie seems leaps forward compared to the first FF movie. But changes themselves (for me anyway) take away what the original characters were and I just don't see a black person impersonate a character that was established as white.

And do remember I'm not white, not that it justify anything but rather help to understand I'm not against this decision for racist purposes but rather, for keeping truth to characters pre-established.

Wayyyy too much.

This toy is way too expensive...looks awesome but, too much.

Even in the Ultimate Universe, Johny Storm is white so, it's not Marvel's fault on this, it's Fox error on this (it IS a mistake to have Johny Storm black).

He's only there because he's black, NO other reasons whatsoever...not logic, not entertainment, not continuity, only because he's black.

And remember, this is not a Marvel's studio film, it's a Fox film. I wouldn't expect this kind of stupid casting from Marvel's Studio, they know how to cast real actors for their characters.

The more I think about it, the more I just don't care about this movie so, have fun with this one, I'm out and will wait for Netflix.

Marvel as we know it is done! (Article) - 1/28/2015 7:42:20 AM

Then would it be possible to give exemple on what ''supposelly'' the new writers have dismissed?

Seems like it's something that is mentionned a few times yet never proven with concrete exemples.

For one thing, Avengers Dissasembled used older aspects of continuity and updated it, nothing was disregarded, it was added on.

All Avengers book were working really well since they were all tied together therefore they were aware what was happening in other books.

ok, I will admit some characters have taken a larger dip into the darker side of things (Cyclop should still be arrested as a killer, he is no longer a hero) but it's not all Bendis's fault or Miller.

Sad to see such a personal view of someone who revived the enthousiasm and quality of comic books (but it's fun to talk about it).

Still no interest with this movie (black Johny....NO).

But have to admit the teaser doesn't show anything awful or ridiculous therefore shows promises. Just not excited about the idea overall of this reboot with all the changes they've made. Sure a lot seems to be based on the Ultimate universe but still, even from that it appears they are changing a lot.

Good'old Fox...always ready to mess something that's already good.

Mania Box Office Report: American Sniper Scores 2 (Article) - 1/27/2015 7:36:24 AM

Well said monkeyfoot

I have not seen the movie yet but will most likelly will. Any war movie is always a touchy subject, weird that the patriasm of certain comes into questions.

i'm Canadian and oppose any wars...I'm sure some will judge me for that but, this movie just gives once glence, one side of a particular moment in time of one of many stories that could exist with soldiers in war.

Is it well done? It appears it 100% accurate? it doesn't appear so. In the end, it's entertainment and doesn't explain or impose any ideas about just follows one story of a soldier, there are many more stories to share for or against war.

They all deserve to be told...

Marvel as we know it is done! (Article) - 1/26/2015 1:05:32 PM

As an avid reader for over 30 years of Marvel comics, I find it very, very hard to believe that the ''suits'' ran Marvel without care and that Bendis just ''suddenly'' threw whatever continuity out the window and that he supposelly discarded everything about the characters that existed.

''Avengers Dissassembled'' pretty much rectify one hell of a history gap that was just set aside with one of the corniest reasons ever so where's the problem?

''Civil War'' was one of the most popular series in the past 30 years

''House of M'' continued the issues of Scarlet Whitch which made total sense without erasing any traits from any characters.

''Dark Avengers'' brought one hell of an era with the bad guys in power, original, fun to read....where's the problem?

''Secret Invasion'' was really smart since it really supported the mistrust and questions initiated by the Civil War

All these events and stories were written by Bendis and the sales went up, the characters were more defined and made sense and more importantly, seemed up to date and relevent without taking away NOTHING from the past.

I'd like to hear more details on this hate against Bendis...

Marvel as we know it is done! (Article) - 1/23/2015 6:41:04 AM

So, Bendis who revived the popularity of Daredevil, created the first MAX series Alias to great wonders, revived the hype over the Ultimate Spider-Man and had some of the best mega events in Marvel is a hack and apparently used the universe for ''their own personal gratification''?

Same with Millar?

Is it possible to elaborate why this sorbid desciption on two of the most successful writers of our generations?

Are you aware of some of the future decisions regarding this event which you can't share that would justify the statement that this upcoming story is ''garbage''?

You have to admit any changes brought in the comic will be re-set eventually just like most deaths in comics, nothing really stays the same forever.
