Jeff Bridges is Obadiah Stane in "Iron Man"

According to IESB.net, initial reports that Jeff Bridges would play a friend of Tony Stark in the upcoming Iron Man film may have been false.

IESB is reporting that Bridges will play the bad guy Obadiah Stane in the film.  The news is straight from Bridges himself.

In the comic, Obadiah Stane is the financier who, unknowingly to Stark, attacks James Rhodes and takes over Stark International. Stane's henchmen are known as the Chessmen due to his fascination with the game of chess since childhood. He renames it to Stane International. Tony relapses into alcoholism and walks away from his Iron Man role.


KJ's Take:  A VERY interesting change, but I really like it.  I'm excited for this film.
