Pearce Penning IRON MAN 3 (Article) - 4/1/2011 8:02:47 AM

If by Tom Clancy they mean "international thriler,"  I'm for that.  Maybe Stark International expands into China and the Mandarin is involved somehow.  Throwing in Crimson Dynamo or Titanium Man would fit well with this, as would bringing back Black Widow, but...

Justice League Stands Alone (Article) - 3/31/2011 7:05:47 AM

Marvel isn't going to load it's Post-Avengers with multiple heroes but it's still the same universe.  RDJ is playing Tony in both films.  What DC is doing here is lame and, yes, confusing for anybody who doesn't read news like this on a regular basis.  (I'm getting a headache already imagining this likely conversation with my father...)

Besides, wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run hiring one actor for both franchises? We're talking not only Superman, Batman and Green Lantern but Flash and Wonder Woman as well.  OK , maybe a Martian Manhunter solo film won't happen but...

Another question, how do you think they'll handle the "sausage party" issue?  Lois? Oh look, another duplicated character...

JUSTICE LEAGUE Forming Again? (Article) - 3/30/2011 7:08:57 AM

I think it's funny that DC exexcutives like Geoff Johns said there wouldn't be a Justice League team-up movie because their heroes were so much larger than life and WB comes in and says yes, we are...

I don't see why they can't have a Wonder Woman series and movie.  (As for the TV show lasting, the only David E. Kelley show I can think of that didn't go at least 4 years was Snoops and they chose to end that despite decent ratings...)

A Fistful of Lois-es (Article) - 3/28/2011 9:06:07 AM

I'm picturing Adams version as a combo between Durance and Hatcher.  Possibly a little Delany thrown in.  (And yes, I too am looking foward to "MILF Murders" tonight...)

Cheers for including McSwain as while Kidder was my first exposure to the character she was definitely the second... Also, I didn't hate Bosworth's portrayal but considerating she was supposed to be an older Margot Kidder, definitely too young...

Slade Talks Daredevil & More (Article) - 3/21/2011 12:03:30 PM

Sure, Jennifer Garner doesn't look Greek but neither really does Jennifer Anniston and she actually IS Greek. (OK, she definitely looks more Greek than Garner...) I'm an 8th Greek myself and never really thought I looked it but if you go to a Greek Festival, guaranteed you will see me.  (Or Harry Potter. Same diff...)  I suggest Maria Menounos for Elektra. Perhaps an obvious choice but who wouldn't want to see her in red?

Daniel Craig is a good baseline for Murdock. I'm not sure he IS too old. I mean DD is one of the "more elder statesmen" that even Spider-man looks up to.  Another thought: Michael Shanks.   (With these casting choices, this'll be the lowest budget superhero film since David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury movie...)

RED DAWN Villains Changed (Article) - 3/16/2011 11:58:58 AM

No, North Korea doesn't have the capability of invading the Midwest but could certainly hit the West Coast. (I remember reading an article on the subject a year or three ago...) I think if China was the bad guy here they'd stil have had North Korea do their dirty work for them anyway. No matter how you look at it  they make the most sense...

Slade Helming DAREDEVIL (Article) - 3/16/2011 10:37:46 AM

Other articles I read stated this wasn't a reboot but a continuation of the story with new actors.  The first one wasn't totally horrible but Affleck just didn't quite do it for me. I'm probably in the minority but I thought Michael Clarke Duncan did fine as Kingpin. (Yes, not revealing him until the third movie would have been bettter...)

First CONAN Trailer Strikes (Article) - 3/12/2011 1:40:45 PM

I'm just impressed he had dialogue...

The Event: And Then There Were More/Inostranka (Article) - 3/12/2011 8:49:32 AM

The whole TV Department on this site has gone basically non-existant.

The episode "reviews" are mostly only 1 to 3 paragraphs long. For the most part they consist of "In this show that'll probably be cancelled...stuff happened. Some worked. Some didn't."

If you look at the TV News on the right, I call only 5 of the 11 links actually "news."  Genre pilots have been casting for weeks.  Wonder Woman, Exit Strategy, Hallelujah,  Precint 17, Poe, Grimm,  a drama knock-off of the Charmings with Jennifer Morrison and a zombie show with Lucy Griffiths all fit the profile...

Black Confirms IRON MAN 3 Job (Article) - 3/8/2011 10:25:04 AM

Madandarin as a businessman with delusions of grandeur may work. Refrencing Tom Clancy implies to me an international flavor which points to the Mandarin or another Russian or both...
