Update: First WATCHMEN Trailer Online - Jul 22, 2008 - 06:37pm
I second that emotion: one of the best trailers ever. I'm in, and buying the soundtrack when it comes out too. The only superhero movie I ever liked so far (haven't seen HB2 or TDK yet) has been Batman Begins. This looks comparable in tone, seriousness, and weight.

New TV Spot for Smith's HANCOCK Online - Jun 01, 2008 - 07:26pm
So far the only "antagonist" we know about from the trailers is some public relations agent who motivates Hancock to become more responsible. Is that going to be Hancock's "greatest challenge yet"? If so, I don't see how they plan to get by on special effects and action-humor. They either need a super villain antagonist or they need to amp up the humor all the way.
New Extended Scene of JUMPER - Feb 09, 2008 - 02:10am
5 days to opening and they're still withholding it from reviewers. Generally not a good sign.
McG Reveals Info on TERMINATOR - Feb 06, 2008 - 04:19pm
====SPOILER ALERT====
In the trilogy sequels, the plot will be:
T4: Future Conner chases a T600 to try to prevent it from going into the past to kill his mom
T5: Future Conner chases T800 to try to prevent it from going into the past to kill his younger self
T6: Future conner chases T10000 to try to prevent it from killing his older self.
Seriously, I hope they cover some new ground in this one.
TOY STORY Trilogy Goes 3-D - Jan 24, 2008 - 05:26pm
"In converting Toy Story and Toy Story 2 to state-of-the-art 3-D films, the technical team is retrieving all of the original digital elements and rebuilding them in 3-D. "
Weren't all the original digital elements already conceived in 3-D? Hopefully this first retrieval step shouldn't take long.
Twohy Updates on RIDDICK Sequel - Nov 19, 2007 - 06:09pm
Riddick was almost a great movie if it weren't for the stupid fantasy / supernatural stuff tacked on. But when you combine sci-fi plus fantasy, the expect the audience to believe that anything can happen, and it loses credibility and breaks the suspense of disbelief factor.
The ending was awesome, BTW
BSG Season 4 Likely Split 2008-2009 - Oct 20, 2007 - 10:09pm
My wife and I loved Season 1&2, but Season 3 sucked big time after the big rescue episode. I had no trouble forgetting anything I saw after that, so that's when the series ended for me.
LAND OF THE LOST Returns For Universal - Oct 10, 2007 - 12:42am
I don't know how this can work. A family transported to dino-times with mysterious aliens. It was great a thriller serial for kids, but how do you translate that to a movie?
I guess you ripoff the subject and make it into a comedy.

10,000 B.C Trailer - Jul 12, 2007 - 07:09pm
"Epic tale that centers on three stages in the development of primitive man, as seen through a 21-year-old hunter from a primitive tribe who must hunt mammoth to survive. "
Syntax error: How can a 21-year old see "three stages of development of primitive man"?
I AM LEGEND Poster - Jun 09, 2007 - 10:36pm
> Let me see....Wild, Wild West, I Robot, Independence Day, MIB2....the odds are against me liking this flick
Will didn't make those into light-weight formula flicks -- the scripts were all popcorn material to begin with.
I read some version of the Legend script floating on the interwebs a couple years ago, and it was great. Very dark, scary, and intelligent.
Will has a good range, and should be able to do great as the lead. The script I read had a lot of introspective dialog -- this is not the type of movie where Will gets to be the wisecrack'n vampire slayer.
More TERMINATORS in the Future - May 10, 2007 - 12:57am
I just scooped the plot for T4!!
It's about a terminator robot that transports from the future back to the present day to protect Jon Conners from another new prototype terminator robot that is sent to kill him before he can rise up and lead the human rebellion against the robots.
SPOILER:
In the end, the good terminator robot kills the bad terminator robot
Christopher Marquette joins "Infestation" - Apr 26, 2007 - 09:03pm
>This premise could be a riot, allowing good jabs at pop culture and movies (Matrix, Aliens, etc.). Gimme the trailer. I'm interested.
Horror + Comedy + Pop culture references? No, unless you think "Scary Movie 4" is "funny". It would be best to try to emulate Evil Dead II.
This could be awesome, but I had high hopes for that giant spider horror/comedy a few years ago, but now I already forgot its name.
"Weird Science" Remake? - Feb 11, 2007 - 03:11am
If this gets Oingo Boingo back together for a day, it will have been worth it.
William Shatner talks "Star Trek XI" - Jan 11, 2007 - 05:59pm
Wessmith 1996: "My idea: In the first season of ST:TNG there was the Conspiracy episode where a parasitic lifeform was trying to infiltrate Star Fleet..."
Right on! I'm a casual trek fan (seen about half of the content), and a couple of weeks ago I was remarking the same idea to a die hard trekkie co-worker. They just left a great potential story arc hanging. My second choice for a movie plot would be anything involving Q. In the right hands, the movies would be a much better medium for doing a Q adventure than the 46 minute television format.
