I also want to add that when I first saw the trailers to John Carter, I was underwhelmed and even offended at what looked to be another CGI spectacle ripping off every other CGI spectacle before it. What I got was a movie with much more heart and soul that focued on the characters and their relationships to one another, and this allowed me to enjoy the geniunely impressive special effects and visuals. It is so much more than what the flop trolls and marketing make it out to be.
