John Moore Adapts VIRULENTS Comic

Another horror comic on the way? Yesterday, we learned that DARKCHYDLE was being adapted to the big screen. Today, we learn from Variety that an adaptation of the "zombie vampire" comic, VIRULENTS, is also being prepped. Fox has selected John Moore (The Omen) to direct the adaptation of the Virgin Comics' series. SGT ROCK writer John Cox is helping Moore pen the screenplay. Filming will be taking place in Afghanistan where the story itself takes place.

Plot Summary: A ragtag group of soldiers search for a lost patrol in Afghanistan. The soldiers, some from an American military unit, some from an Indian military unit, stumble into a nest of vampire zombies.
