MIAMI VICE creator-turned-feature director Michael Mann is talking about the big screen version of the film, and what fans of the iconic 1980s show won't be seeing.
According to some quick quotes to TV GUIDE, Mann confirmed Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas won't even be making cameos in the film.
The film will be "cutting-edge stuff [set] in the Caribbean. It's still CASABLANCA, just like it was in the '80s, but it's a very different CASABLANCA."
The show, which set off fashion and filmmaking trends when it premiered in 1986, followed the investigations of two cops as they tried to track down drug dealers in Florida's swankiest city.
