mlaforcer, yeah, he's a really nice guy. He's one of the "experts" on the 1906 earthquake here in SF. I guess he has to be for the book. This is great, though, I'm happy for him.
It's cool to see this article. James Dalessandro wrote the book, he was my screenwriting instructor. He was pretty worried about the writer's strike affecting his book getting made. It's cool to see that it's going forward.
I can't say that I'm too impressed with the trailer. I'll have to wait and see more before I get excited about this film. To me, Hulk looked better in Ang Lee's film. I enjoyed the trailer for Lost Boys The Tribe on MTV.com much more than the Hulk trailer. I'll definitely check that movie out. I loved the Cry Little Sister track they used. Good memories.
She was great in Juno and in Hard Candy. She is definitely a good actress. I wouldn't mind seeing her win for Juno. Academy Awards are given, in most cases, for specific things not for careers.
I just finished this book, it should be an amazing film. I love the cast so far. It's being directed by John Hillcoat, who directed The Proposition, another great film.
Is it just me or did the writer seem to get bored with his own article? It seems like he got bored with it and just cut it off.
I saw the film on Friday night and I really liked it. There seems to be so much in the film that I think it definately requires me to see it a second time. The movie was a lot of fun. I saw it with a group of about eight people and we all loved it. I saw it in SF and everyone in the theatre seemed to enjoy the film. I think the only peole justified in seeing it and not liking it are the people that knew nothing of the film and that suffers from severe motion sickness. The only problem that I found with the movie was that some of the dialogue and situations seemed a bit forced but it didn't bother me after the party. I saw There Will Be Blood the next morning and while I really liked it and found Daniel Day Lewis to be fascinating, I had a lot more fun watching Cloverfield.
I loved this film, they filmed some of it right outside my apartment in SF. Fincher is a great director. The DVDs for Seven and Fight Club are top notch, this is a good one to add to the collection.
"George Miller has a great take on the material, so it elevates it to something that's not a comic-book movie," he said. Hmm... isn't this a comic book movie? If so, what is wrong with that? This comic seems like he thinks that it needs to be something other than what it is. I just finished reading I Am Legend and I can't help thinking about all of the changes that were made in the movie, which was just about everything. The title didn't even make sense. Why would people take books, comics, cartoons or TV shows, adapt them to a movie that is so much different from the original source that it no longer resembles it? Maybe that isn't happening with this, I don't know. My point is, JLA is a comic book so the movie is a comic book movie and there is nothing wrong with that. I can't understand that comment...

I guess that I will be the only one renting this when it comes out. I'm sold on the movie. Not only does it have the two Coreys in it but it also stars Angus Sutherland, Kiefer's brother (He's the dude with the long blonde hair). The music track is Cry Little Sister by Gerard McMann (He now goes by G Tom Mac for some strange reason, not sure if Sisters of Mercy did the song or not but McMann did it for Lost Boys). The only thing missing is that it wasn't filmed in Santa Cruz. As far as the mutated face of the vampire, again, check out the first one. Alex Winter's make up was the funniest looking. Keifer's wasn't so bad though.
