According to HR, writer-director Jonathan Levine (The Wackness) has two new projects on his horizon. One is a romantic thriller while the other is an espionage thriller. The latter, which covers our genre better, is called Echelon Vendetta and is based on David Stone's novel of the same name. Levine will be adapting the screenplay for Sony Pictures.

Plot Concept:
"Vendetta" centers on a "cleaner," a CIA operative in charge of keeping dirty laundry from being aired in public, who after the death of a friend begins to investigate the deaths of several agents.

Levine's horror movie All the Boys Love Mandy Lane has been premiered at various film festivals as early as 2006 but went through some distributor issues that have stalled it from hitting North American theaters. At last mention, the horror film should have been hitting domestic theaters in August by Senator International but we don't see it listed as a release for the month.

"in charge of keeping dirty laundry from being aired"

So this agent would kill the old lady down the street that keeps hanging up her clothes on a line. No wait, she's washed those never mind.

So in the picture he was totally stoned, right?

I don't know much about this guy and his cridentials don't say much either. I've always enjoyed a movie about guys who clean up after these types of things. The problem is that they almost always end up with this type of story line. I mean the guys cleaning up after somebody so naturally he's going to see some nasty shit. But what intrigues me is the "vendetta" part. There's no mention of what he's vendetting in the plot summary.

They should get Harvey Keitel to play the cleaner. He plays the part so well. First Point of No Return, then Winston Wolf in Pulp Fiction. Keitel is the man.

Damn! That's right. I forgot about that fft5305. I agree with you, but I think for this they'll be going after a younger actor. I also don't know what type of "cleaner" they're referring to here. Could be the type that Keitel has played or the kind that's more techy and wipes peoples existance from government databases, membership clubs, gets ride of their personal belongings, and such. Kind of like the Eraser. Who knows.
