Zod better win, he's a general while the other is a scientist. Plus Shannon looked like he had put some time in the gym in some of the pictures we saw of him, so he looks the part.

Anyway I like that they're going that far back to show the Zod vs the house of El feud.

Zod should win, but I don't think he will.  After all, I do remember Zod being a bit peeved with Jor-El for banishing him to the Phantom Zone and all...

Zod is definitely more the military man, but Jor-El could be just a part of the Kryptonian force that defeats him.  Just sayin.

I too, am rather stoked that they are including this in the movie.  (Hope the scenes don't get left on the cutting room floor and are longer than a 20 second flashback).

I also like that the movie will show this; gives weight to Zod wanting revenge on the house of El. I still would have liked the movie to go in a different direction than Zod as the bad guy, but opefully Snyder makes it work.

He (Jor-El) wins in that justice was served and he was banished to the Phantom Zone, doesn't mean he wins the actual physical fight which is what we're talking about here.

Agreed this movie has my hopes up. They are doing lots of thing that make it completely different than the Donner films. Hopefully, it all congeals together into a great flick.

I agree General Zod should win in a physical fight between a Military commander and a Scientist although I give it in the end for Jor-El. This particular scientist might have some Kryptonian technology up his sleeve which might win the fight. Seeing that this is a long fight scene and Zod didn't shoot Jor-El outright to begin with, I'll make a guess that he isnt armed. Which may lead to Jor-El using a possible weapon of last resort. Just a guess!

Yeah it possible but it doesnt mean that Zod was captured by Jor-El, after all it was all three that were rounded up. Since the fight scene isnt three against one. It had to be different times of them being captured. My take, the Kryptonian Military isnt under complete control of Zod and his Lieutenants.

Are we sure Jor-El is a pure scientist in this version of Krypton?  Does that suit he's wearing look like a lab coat to anyone?  Jor-El might be a badass former elite soldier who happens to know a few things about science, afterall the Kryptonians are said to have been believers in science rather than religion, being a scientist on Krypton might be like being literate on earth. 

Throw away the Donner vision already!  Hiring Russel Crow to play a pure scientist is like hiring Clint Eastwood to be an accountant.

 "On his twitter account."  I hate to break it to you but it is their assistants that put this stuff out.  I'd venture to guess most of these stars don't "twitter".  I'm growing to despise that word.  Like we need to know what is going on in everyone's life and be updated on movie shoots.  Oh, Jor El goes to the bathroom in the next scene.
