Yah, swisshammer is right on this one.  Mania is waaaaaay off on it.  It looks like every one else on the Net is reporting that Andrew Garfield is the Web Head.  Not that I give a sh*t, but hey, that is the way this go I guess.

Andrew Garfield was also in the The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus too. He was really cool in that movie as Anton.

Sony finally named its new Peter Parker and it IS Andrew Garfield. Don't know anything about him. I'm really interested in Webb's take on the webhead. I really have a feeling we're going to get a lot of teen angst in the spider reboot, or whatever you want to call the "new" Spiderman movies. I think they'll look to pull in a new generation. I just hope Webb doesn't go too Dawson's Creek (yes, I'm over exagerating a bit) and too little action. I don't want to see Spiderman Returns (yes, that's a crack on Singer's emo Superman). I'm a big fan of the first Spidey trilogy, but I always thought Raimi moved Peter out of high school too fast. Some of the great early Spidey stories dealt more, or at least as much, with his personal life than his adventures in the suit. What made Spiderman great was the fact that kids could relate to Peter Parker and I have a stronf feeling that's what Webb's going to do. I would expect to see more drawn from the initial pages of Ultimate Spiderman which dealt with Peter's problems as a teenager quite well.

Not to throw water on Millar, but he's really becoming a master of self-promotion, so until there are announcements and press releases on his characters getting prepped for the big screen, I take his ramblings as so many grains of sand.

A DC comics network would definitely be cool as would a Marvel. Hell, a super hero network would be even cooler. They could play everything from the 60s marvel cartoons to the Superfriends of the 70s to the Incredible Hulk of the 80s to the X-Men and of the 90s and beyond. That's a network I'd want and my girlfriends' kids would go nuts for it! There could even be "news" segments reporting on upcoming projects and trips to comic cons. That would be one great network.

Too bad it's not Josh for Spidey then...he'd do a great job.  I've been a fan ever since The Bridge to Terabithia.

ACK!  This guy's in his mid twenties!  He looks older than Tobey!  So much for the younger Spiderman approach...

Just got news that Andrew Garfield (don't know who he is) will play peter parker/spider-man. He has the look to play the role.
