Possible Star Trek 3 Plot (Article) - 3/21/2014 4:56:21 PM

<< I'm hoping for someone from ST:TNG or the regular timeline to have survived this whole time paradox thing and is trying to figure out how to put things "they way they were">>

Spock!  He's still there.  He will eventually tell young Spock what went wrong.  Young Spock will be in time to save Romulus, it will never be destroyed, and that will re-set the timeline since Nero will never go back in time and change things.

Earth to Echo Official Trailer #2 (Article) - 3/20/2014 2:37:07 PM

Sorry, tired of this "behind the camera pov" crap.  Looks interesting but will not watch because of that.

The Walking Dead: Alone Review (Article) - 3/13/2014 11:24:12 PM

Remember in this episode when Sasha, Bob and Maggie were fighting zombies in the fog, Sasha asked Bob if he had been bitten.  Bob says yes, but only on his bandage.  Seems that there are concerns about the bites causing people to turn, otherwise, why did they cut Herschel's leg off?

Transformers: Age of Extinction Teaser Trailer (Article) - 3/6/2014 3:42:18 PM

What about Optimus' cab being a flat nose now?  Cool, more like the original cartoon!

Not the best of the Pixar movies.  What does that mean?  I might see it again on the big screen and will definitaley buy the Blu-Ray when it comes out.  :-)

Did anyone notice the blown up moon on Kronos?  Was that Praxis?  Seemed like it happened way early in this timeline.

Jericho 2.0? (Article) - 5/28/2012 10:39:03 AM

Wow!!! Loved this the first time around and was really hooked on it.  Hope they bring it back.

Mania Review: Battleship (Article) - 5/21/2012 8:20:00 PM

Well saw this with my two boys this weekend. Totally enjoyed it! Typical summer movie. It's not winning any awards, but didn't deserve a grade of F. I'd give it a C. If I can believe in super heroes that don't exist, I can surely believe a WWII era battleship can be fully operational and armed, ready for battle at a moment's notice! :)

The acting wasn't that great cause they actually used veterans of past wars in some of the key moments. This is what actually warmed my heart. Watching actual veterans of WWII and injured soldiers given some recognition in this movie!

To all our veterans out there: THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY as we prepare to honor those that have fallen, this Memorial Day weekend.

It's all a matter of opinion.  Seeing it this weekend with my two boys, ages 13 and 11.  They really want to see it.

Movie Mom:  B

As if it wasn’t enough of a challenge to try to create a movie based on a board game — and a board game based on a game that is perfectly adequately played with pencil and paper — this movie has to find its way around the fact that the large armored warships that give the game and the movie its title have been out of commission as everything but museum pieces for decades, replaced by much more powerful ships called destroyers. And yet, director Peter Berg (“Friday Night Lights”) and screenwriters Eric and Jon Hoeber (“Red“) have somehow managed to add some aliens and a lot of explosions to create a good, old-fashioned summer popcorn movie that is good, old-fashioned fun.

Mania Box Office Report: Avengers beats Potter (Article) - 5/7/2012 2:46:06 PM

Thanks for the info.  Checked it out and that's a very interesting list!  As I remember, I paid 50 cents to see Star Wars when it came out, matinee time.  Today's matinee price is $7.50, big difference!
