Jurassic Park 4 Plot Details

JoBlo had the exclusive!

By Robert T. Trate     June 23, 2013
Source: Joblo

Over the weekend JoBlo had an exclusive about plot details for Jurassic Park 4. Prior to this we only knew that Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) was directing. Here is what Joblo released to the masses.

JURASSIC PARK 4, set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe - until it's not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dinos for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there's concept art showing one of the aquatic dinos, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at Sea World.

As part of a show, you ask? That's right, folks, this will feature "tamed" dinos. In fact, our source indicated that the usually menacing Velociraptors (which will finally be muzzled, along with the T-Rex - until they're not) will actually be used to help fight the threat, which begins in the form of a new dinosaur, not seen in any of the previous films (and not disclosed to us) shows to be much smarter than originally thought and is the main cause of havoc breaking out at the park.

So, to sum it all up, JURASSIC PARK 4 will take place back on Isla Nublar with a fully operational dinosaur theme park (I'm sure no expense was spared) that's both prosperous and safe, until a new dinosaur figures out a way to wreak havoc, causing the use of the now tamed Velociraptors (and T-Rex? Unclear) as a means to fighting the threat”. from JoBlo

Jurassic Park 4 will be shot in 3D and the rumors of Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Neill joining the cast have not been confirmed.

Jurassic Park 4 is set for the biggest summer in recent movie history, 2015.

Tamed dinos? So I assume they've all been fixed, declawed, and defanged?

Muzzled? is that literally or figuratively speaking?

Guess could mean they're sedated or actually muzzled. Anyway T-Rex to the rescue once again and this time with raptor sidekicks. Sounds slightly similar to the first

Give me dinosaurs running around add whatever story you want and I'm there baby. Bring it

Like Bob Barker says "Please have your T-Rex spayed or neutered."

I've never seen any point to doing anymore JP movies since you can see them any day on Science or History channel but I actually see possibilities in this idea. The story could come across similar to the Dinotpia book and TV series where people co exist with dinosaurs.

So I am imagining tamed Dino's with harnesess and some kind of weapons, like machine guns strapped to there sides and so on, and then maybe it's a numbers things and the tamed Dino's take their island back just by them having more on their side that the bad dino's do... In any case, I am up for another Jurassic Park movie...

worth a gander...

It'll be the Troodon. The smartest of the dinosaurs. It had three fingered hands, binocular vision, and a large brain.

Wiseguy 6/23/2013 12:42:12 PM

Dinotopia, really? It seems enormously different to me when dinos are on display like a zoo/exhibition park as to when you co-exist freely

And no the documentaries ain't the same as a film with dinos on your ass trying to make you part of their diet

Could be interesting. Genetically engineered raptors that are born domesticated like dogs. Doesn't men they can't hurt anything, but would allow for a Terminator 2 Effect. The bad guy is now the good guy helping the main characters. Honestly, I think it could be really cool having a raptor watching over people like a protective German Shepherd, eventually going out protecting its owners. It would definitely be a new spin that could get people invested.
