JURASSIC PARK III DVD Packed

The release of the JURASSIC PARK III sounds like it will appease fans of the film in a big way.

The DVD, which will hit store shelves on December 11, will feature 10 hours of extras. Among that material will be:

* A featurette entitled A VISIT TO ILM which will show the 20 stages involved in using computer graphics and the creation of effects such as skin and muscle simulation.

* "A Guided Tour of the Stan Winston Studio."

* Go on a dinosaur dig with paleontologist Jack Horner.

* A commentary track by the film's special effects team.

In addition, as previously reported, plans are also to include storyboards and script segments from previous drafts of the film that had been scrapped. As for extra footage that was cut, helmer Joe Johnston has already declared that there isn't any.

The DVD will have a suggested retail price of $26.98. The film will also be a part of Universal's four-disc JURASSIC PARK TRILOGY COLLECTION, price at $75.98. Besides the three films, that set also includes a bonus disc that features a documentary called BEYOND JURASSIC PARK.
